There have been many a rumor floating around the internet that Sony is planning a relaunch of it’s recent handheld system, the PSP Go. It hasn’t shown high signs of picking up speed as far as sales and many complain that the product is too expensive and doesn’t offer enough function.

Personally, I like the PSP Go as it is. But, if they choose to re-release it with even greater features and a cheaper price, I may just sell my current one to pick up the new one.

You can bet that if and when this supposed new PSP Go comes out that I’ll be reviewing it for everyone here. I don’t see a need for Sony to do this but I guess if it puts new light on the system and makes even more people want to own it, then Sony can’t be wrong in the matter.

I suspect many current owners of the PSP Go will be highly disappointed if it is relaunched with new and better features, though. Not many are going to want to go out and buy it again!

Well, it is! You should be able to pick it up in the Playstation store through your gaming console or you can download it online, either way.

You CAN still play on user created maps, which is a plus.

But I’m not sure if multiplayer is available on the PSP Go as of yet. When I find out I’ll keep you guys updated!

The test they show in the video made me cringe, but the final result left my jaw dropped. If you have a PSP Go or plan on getting one, you NEED to pick up one of their amazing scratch protectors.

If that doesn’t just about bring a tear to your eye, I don’t know what will. I thought they had destroyed a perfectly good PSP Go, but the ending was awesome.

Given the fact that we live in a connected world, where access to the internet and various online services has become practically indispensable for a certain category of devices, a large number of the various portable gadgets that arrive on the market nowadays tend to enable, in some sort, such functionalities. That’s also the case with Sony’s most recent portable gaming console, the PSP Go, whose latest firmware update (v6.10) will enable quite a few interesting features, including here support for tethering via Bluetooth.

All in all, we can really say that PSP Go owners will have a blast with this firmware update, which, however, is not yet available, albeit the company does promise that it should arrive “soon.”

Hence, by applying the respective firmware update, PSP Go owners will enjoy the ability to use a Bluetooth mobile device, such as a mobile phone, as a modem to connect their PSP system to the Internet. This means that when you’re not located close to a WiFi spot, you have another way to get on the Internet via a Bluetooth mobile device.

Sony PSP Go

As mentioned above, this will not be the only important improvement brought about by firmware version 6.10. For example, another cool new feature will provide access to the SensMe channels, a music application for PSP (borrowed from the Walkman family) that uses Sony’s proprietary 12 Tone Analysis technology to evaluate music tracks that have been imported from the Media Go application.

And since we’re on the subject, we also have to mention that the Media Go application (v1.2) will be updated with a new look and enhanced functionality. Those of you not familiar with MediaGo should know that we’re talking about a software app for PCs that allows users to organize and transfer music, photos and videos between one’s PC and the PSP. It also permits users to access the PlayStation Store and to purchase, backup and restore PSP games.
